Every member of the legislature gets to force 20 bills a year into voting, no debate, no long-winded speeches, just vote yay or nay. That way, no legislator would ever be able to say “sorry I passed an idiotic law but I can’t undo it, life sucks,” as happened recently with a legislator in California, who deserves commendation, as legislators hardly ever apologize for their boneheaded behavior. They might not be able to fix their mistake, but they’d be able to tell their voters “here’s the people who voted against it, go bug them.”
