I hypothesize that much of the support for the protests from young non-blacks derives from the experience of smoking weed. With alcohol, a kid or group of kids can drink inside and have some hope to avoid their parents catching them. There’s always edible weed, but it takes longer to have an effect and apparently costs more. So kids are forced to smoke outside, where they are paranoid about the cops catching them, a paranoia being high only reinforces.
Apparently, there are people working on odorless weed, which could be packaged to look like cigarettes. Let’s hope they succeed.
